Recently a video has appeared on the Internet showing th first 10 mins of gameplay, check out the size of the bosses.

Heavy Rain looks incredible and is perhaps the closest game released to a fully Interactive Movie.

For a long time people were concerned about how well the game will play, and judging by the videos released so far, the game play looks to be based around Quick Time events, where the user has to select the right response at the right time. This type of game play is common but  Heavy Rain takes it to a whole new level, and the story will need to be brilliant to keep the players attention.

Heavy Rain will be a big seller but only time will tell if it becomes a true classic or not.

There is the ability to merge your facebook friends list with your Xbox Live contact list, but be aware the Xbox live friends limit of 100 people still applies.

It’s also been announced by Sony that the next version of the PS3 firmware (version 3.10 – due soon) will come with Facebook included.

Social Networking is quickly becoming a major part of everyday life.

It’s graphics and Audio were astounding for the time and it’s exciting game play set it apart from it’s competitors, especially in the third game in the series (tower assault) where the levels were non-linear and could be completed in several ways.

Now 13 years after the last Amiga Alien Breed game, the series is back. Set for a digital distribution release next year Alien Breed Evolution brings the series bang up to date by using the Unreal 3 engine. The game tries to remain true to its roots by delivering an overhead viewpoint (albeit from an isometric camera), and as this video shows, the gameplay remains true to the series and is certainly as tense as ever.

Many People have been wondering if the game works as well in real life as the offical game trailers would suggest. This video should put any doubts to rest as the game appears to work brilliantly.

Although a Netflix membership will cost you $8.99 a month after you have a membership not only will you be able to get DVD’s delivered to your door but the service will allow American PS3 owning Netflix Members to stream movies and TV shows directly to their PS3 at no extra cost.

Initially to stream films, Netflix members will be given a free Disc which will need to be inserted into the PS3 before the films will play.

Netflix members and PS3 system owners can now reserve a free instant streaming disc for PS3 systems by going to www.netflix.com/ps3. Upon availability, the instant streaming disc will be delivered for free by first-class mail, generally one business day after members request it.

Augmented Reality is where computer generated visuals are merged on top of real world images, and a perfect example of this is the new Playstation 3 game EyePet.

EyePet uses the PS3 EyeToy to grab a video stream of your living room and adds a virtual pet into the environment, who will integrate with you in a number of cute and amusing ways, for an example of this see the video below.

Whilst the game it’s self may be nothing more then a gimmick, it certainly shows how Augmented Reality is no longer exclusively available to the military and is now becoming part of all out lives.
