Watch Sky TV on your IPhone or IPod Touch

Sky have launched an application for the Iphone and Ipod touch which will allow UK users to watch Live sporting events through Sky Sports channels on their devices.

Channels available to users include the Sky Sports portfolio, ESPN, Sky News, Sky Sports News and At The Races, initially  the service will only be available over Wifi and will not work over 3G data networks.

The application is free to download but  service will require a SkyPlayer account and a £6 per month subscription, you will also need version 3 of the Iphone\Ipod Touch software.

TVCatchup.com – Free TV Streaming

Screenshot-17Our Friends over at Netbook-experience.com have let us know about TVCatchup.com, A free to use TV streaming service that streams live feeds from most of the Freeview TV channels through your Web Browser.

The site offers access to an impressive number of channels and the video is delivered using Flash, and the site offers an easy to use EPG so that you can easily find programs that you want to watch. The video has a slightly lower image quality then that of the BBC IPlayer  but  the quality of the video and frame rate is fine on most home broadband connections, and it is very rare to see a buffering message.

To use the site you need to have a British ISP and are required to hold A UK TV license.
