Alien Breed Evolution, A return of a classic.

AlienBreedOne of the most popular Amiga games was the classic Alien Breed. A top down shoot-em-up which captured the atmosphere and panic of the Alien Movie series.

It’s graphics and Audio were astounding for the time and it’s exciting game play set it apart from it’s competitors, especially in the third game in the series (tower assault) where the levels were non-linear and could be completed in several ways.

Now 13 years after the last Amiga Alien Breed game, the series is back. Set for a digital distribution release next year Alien Breed Evolution brings the series bang up to date by using the Unreal 3 engine. The game tries to remain true to its roots by delivering an overhead viewpoint (albeit from an isometric camera), and as this video shows, the gameplay remains true to the series and is certainly as tense as ever.
